Why I started a blog

In a lot of ways I feel like the title of this post should be a question more than a statement - Why have I started a blog?

So a little bit about me, you can read most of this on my About Me section but to generalise I'm 21, engaged to a beautiful fiance, I have 2 cats (called Flea & Dave) and when I don't have my hands full with all of that I'm either studying for university or trying to catch a break by playing some game, listening to music or browsing the Games Workshop website.

And that pretty much sums me up in less than 100 words...

I live a life that I guess some could call boring or unadventurous but, in all honesty, I love it!

I have time in my life for the things I truly love and that makes me very happy! I don't necessarily need money (although it helps with the Warhammer) or lots of things to make me happy. For me I can sit down on my bed with a good book, my fiance, Gem, reading next to me and some kittens dotted around to give me that feeling of sheer bliss.

I guess that's one of the large reasons I've started a blog, It's more of a cathartic exercise for myself than anything else. It's my little slice of the Internet where I can express myself and come to realise what I actually have and how happy that makes me feel; Because we all have those days where we come home from work and feel terrible and it can be very hard to stand back and look at what you do have as opposed to what you don't and this blog is the best way I can do that! And if a few random Internet people get a kick out of hearing about that then I'm only happy to help!

So that's the personal side of it. The other side is work...

I mentioned I'm at university, the university of huddersfield to be precise and I love what I do! I study Music Technology and Audio Systems and it's honestly one of the most exciting and innovative things I could ever imagine myself doing!

I especially love building things as a part of that. I'm a dab hand when it comes to programming and I can churn out a couple of simple music tech related programs.

This blog is a chance for me to share those projects with people - either in their development stages on he finished product. And similarly to before; if people can get a kick or something useful out of that then great! I am more than happy to help!
